We’re a successful start-up creating a truly engaging digital platform using a combination of technical brilliance, visual magic, and deep psychological insight. We have the foundations of a great business (product, traction in the market, revenues), but there’s so much more we want to do. Right now, we’re looking for an experienced senior dev or tech lead to join us and help build the future of teams.
Your role
As tech lead, you’ll work alongside the rest of our growing product and engineering teams to create both deeply engaging experiences that will delight our users and customers, and the scalable systems that power them. At Jyre, we create in a truly cross-functional, collaborative way, and as a tech lead you'll be at the heart of what we do. You'll be hands-on throughout the development process, guiding and supporting your colleagues, communicating to create a shared understanding, as well as helping shape the future technical direction of both our product and our company. We won’t expect you to manage a team, but your colleagues will look to you for technical direction. That's fine, because you know your way around tech.
We don't think that where you live should determine where you work, so we've put a lot of thought into making remote work an enjoyable, productive experience in the long-term. We completely understand if your dog/child/partner wants to join in on a product workshop, and we also appreciate the regular chances to get together in person. Building great teams is what we do for a living, so while we can’t promise a smooth ride, you’re in good hands.

What you'll do at Jyre

Design and develop high-performance, scalable back-end systems that run on .NET Core, NodeJS and Azure.

Build human-centric UX with us using technologies like Vue, TypeScript and Lottie.

Develop tools that improve developer experience and velocity.

Own your work in production, working with your team to build, maintain and support resilient end-to-end systems.

Lead technical initiatives from the early exploration of ideas to delivering integral parts of our stack, balancing short-term goals with long-term architectural vision.

Mentor other members of your team to help them grow.
We'd love to hear from you if

You have 4+ years of experience writing production software across the full stack within a cross-functional team.

You take pride in what you do, and want to contribute to something meaningful.

You have solid experience in C# - coding scalable web applications, interacting with Restful APIs and data stores.

You have solid experience in Javascript/Typescript with a front-end framework like Vue, React or Angular.

You have an interest in learning, growth and personal development.

You excel at creating with others, sharing and communicating ideas as part of a cross-functional team.

You’re naturally curious about the technologies you use and take initiative to get stuck in and figure things out.

Your salary
£50,000-65,000 per annum depending on experience
